Hi,
Has anyone come across this problem. Spare tapes are recognised by the system and listed in the Scratch Pool, they can be viewed within the library by their icon.
However, the Scratch Pool after a while cannot recognise the spare tapes and issues an error that there are not enough spare tapes in the library and refuses to run Aux copy jobs.
Running Data Aging is not working, nor is extracting the tapes and then reinserting them. They cannot be deleted and rediscovered as they come up as "not spare media". They are not in use by any job and there is no data on them.
This problem started out intermittantly but is now happening nearly every day. The problem also occurs with new tapes.
We have SP3PostPack1 loaded on the media agents.
