I have a 5 site SCN. All units running 9.1.4. Every now and then two sites have issues where if I try to dial the other site, it does try and use the SCN but ends up trying to go over the ISDN circuit. If I restart both site the issue disappears. Has anybody else had this issue, or know how to resolve it.

That means the SCN has gone down, so the system forgets the learned extns and starts matching shortcodes instead, hence why it goes out the lines. You need to find out why the SCN goes down...i.e it's the network/link between networks :)

But I can still ping each site through system status. Within system status one site says that the circuit is down, but the other says it's still up.

You will probably find resetting the VPN between sites gets it working too as this is most likely an AVRIP problem.

If you run monitor on both systems then from the "Routing" tab select the "AVRIP Tx" & "AVRIP Rx" boxes. You will see the AVRIP packets sent from each site but only one site receiving them. I find with some customers that it's the firewalls at either end of the VPN tunnel that stop passing the AVRIPs and restarting the VPN resolves it. Of course the network engineers say there is nothing wrong with the VPN and all ports are open, AVRIP uses port 50795 UDP.
