2 remote sites are having issues with incoming calls being dead air. Intermittent issue, once call can be heard there is no dropping of call, etc. Same issue when connecting to centralized VM, dead air - long delay, 10-15seconds. Ping time to VM server/ main 406 is 10-20ms. All VCM licenses are not being used, could the module be bad?

What firmware levels on systems, what systems, if you have SSA what does that show for QoS on the calls as ping is a poor measure of quality for a link :)

ACS - IP Office Implement

"What the Crocodile Hat....was that?

4.2.(4). I'm sure where to enable SSA - pretty sure encryption isn't enabled. This problem only recently began, has been working years without any issues.

Also, there are more issues with outside lines calling in, than with internal to internal.

4.2.4 needs an upgrade to the latest 4.2 I would suggest before you even start trying to troubleshoot something that might have been fixed with an upgrade.
SSA is the System Status Application you have to see what is happening in the system and in there you have statistics for IP calls.
Upgrade - try again - if it still has problems let us know for further instructions.
Btw VCM module could be bad but that wold not have a ping delay as a result. Ping delay means you have a network problem, check also the IP routes in the system but upgrade is the first step
