I was so happy with my working SCN using centralized V9.1 VMPro. Incoming local calls from site A are sent to a module where CLI is matched with a database, the module ends with a transfer with its destination set to site A’s hunt group & on the handset is displayed the customer’s account number. This all works fine.

The problem I have is while the huntgroup is alerting 2 channels are tied up on the SCN link. This is causing a problem having just 4 channels per site.

At the end of a module is there a way to transfer & release (so to speak) the call at the end of the module?

I know it works OK if I set the huntgroup announcement timer to 0 seconds but the customer doesn’t want to queue calls instantly.

1st make sure you follow the SCN rules:
[ul]
[li]each trunk within the SCN must have a unique outgoing line ID[/li]
[li]each name / number within the SCN must be unique[/li]
[li]all ARS tables must be the same[/li]
[li]All system Telephony settings must be the same[/li]
[/ul]
Then if your lines are analog trunks make sure you have reliable disconnect enabled.
And remember, what a customer wants cannot always be what het gets, they will have to accept that fact.
