Two 406v2 ver 4.0 setup with SCN

Can make calls from A to B without a problem.

Calls from B to A always get a busy signal no matter which extension I call.

have you verified the gateway IPs in the IP route for the two systems. you need to create a new ip route with the ip address and the mask set to all zeros and the gateway entered in the gateway ip and then set the destination to Lan1

Good luck

I would agree with Kargo. Check your configuration at Site B for both the IP Line and your shortcode for dialing to Site A. If both Site A and B can talk/hear each other when Site A calls, then the IP Route should be correct.

Good luck,

no need for shortcode's with SCN
site A points to site B and is working
do the same at site B (B to A)
be sure that you check voice networking (SCN)
just compare the two configs

I put the the two 406's on the same LAN and in the same IP subnet now to eliminate any routing issues; made some progress but still having issues.

Can still make calls from A to B without a problem.

When calling B to A however, the A phone doesn't ring and the call eventually goes to voice mail.

one 406 has the older VCM5 and the other a VCM8; thought that might have something to do with it?

Does SCN look at incoming call router at all?

System Status shows SCN Up on both sides.

startup monitor
reboot ipo site A
wait till you see that the ipo at site B is learning the extensions and groups from site A (this should happen with a scn)
if this does happen do it the other way round
reboot site B and look in monitor if the same thing happens

Using a 'Directory' button on either system A or system B I can see all of the extenions.

did you upgrade this system or is it a new one ?

I don't think ARS has anything to do with it.

When I dial the extension the phone does not ring but I end up in the voice mail box for that extension.

This is a new system I have not configured anything for ARS as yet.

Do u have duplicate extensions on either of the switches? Under Users or Extensions?

No, I renumbered the new switch with extensions starting at 400 and hunt groups at 500. The other systems has the extensions at 200 and the hunt groups at 300 except for one hunt grup that is in the 200 range.

Are both IP Lines limited to 5 channels. If one side has more channels available that could be your issue.
