Is centralized voicemail pro a requirement to use scn? We have gotten conflicting answers from tech support.

If you have a SCN and VM Pro then you must use centralized VM on the remote sites.

In a SCN the only supported voicemail is vmpro on one site
All other sites will use that vmpro

There are good experiences with multiple vmpro's in a SCN but it is not supported !!!

Centralised voicemail is not a requirement of SCN. However, if you wish to use voicemail, you must used VM pro in a centralised mode. If you don't want voicemail, don't have it, but SCN will work

Take Care

I have always wished that my computer would be as easy to use as my telephone.
My wish has come true. I no longer know how to use my telephone.

If you have other sites that are not part of SCN but can be reached on the network you can observe SCN rules on all sites and build an IP trunk with voice networking turned off. You will be able to directly dial those extensions.

Of course they would all have to have vcm cards and their own voicemails.
