I have a school that wants to migrate off of Shoretel (Who Doesn't). Shoretel right now works as their bell system. The phone system has a schedule to call a SIP extension that rings the bells.

Does anyone have a way to automate calling an extension on a schedule without using an IVR?

Right not we are looking at computer instruments, but I would love to do this in voicemail pro.

Thanks

What about the alarm action in VMPro?

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

I would avoid doing this in VMPro. Instead, I would use an Altronix timer and a tone generator. Remember that many school bell schedules change - like snow day schedule or early dismissal schedule, etc. Be prepared.

Viking makes a couple of time tones generators we have used them in schools to replace expensive clock bell systems. Look at the newest one that came out last year it has multiple messages etc as well as several tones. I would not tie into the phone system as programming the viking stuff is really simple and it works>
