Does anyone know where personal notification settings are stored? I see where notifyinterests2 stores interests, however, i want to report on if anyone has changed their email settings: i.e. "email contents", or default schedule.

.....on a related yet unrelated topic, i have a question:

when performing a refresh in my test environment with production data, we first disable agents/notifications with the following sql:

Update livelink.AgentSchedule
Set enabled=0
Where AgentID=9999;

once the refresh is successful and the test environment is validated, agents/notifications are still disabled. OT documentation does not indicate re-enabling agent/notifications as we don't want duplicates sent to production users from the test environment.

i opened a ticket with OT on safely re-enabling agents/notifications and they said the only thing needed to prevent duplicates it to delete all rows from NotifyInterests2 table - effectively wiping all notifications within the test environment.

does everyone else agree? does anyone take other measures to prevent duplicates, prior to re-enabling?

Prior to starting LL services for the first time, I delete all rows from the notifyinterests2 table, and update all users mailaddress in kuaf to the administrators email address (just to be safe). I usually do not disable any agents.

thanks for the response, sandersbrett. we just refreshed our test 9.7.1 environment as we're going into a cs10 upgrade. i've already deleted all rows from notifyinterests2 and would like to preserve user email addresses so i'm going to play it dangerous and not change the email address.

i believe it's important that notifications are tested after the cs10 upgrade in the test environment. i just wish OT would acknowledge this in their documentation. i guess since it involves deleting from the database, they will never write that on paper.

If agents/notification/wfagent is a must in your pre-upgrade test why could not you log into the instance running the agents and re-configure the http address for the notification and then put a test marker where you see "Livelink Notification at %1"
I would just make it ""IGNORE coming from test system-Livelink Notification at %1"
That is what all of us do when we refresh the system ,I go and change the SOV messages also.It is just common sense to do that.

Well, if I called the wrong number, why did you answer the phone?
