Schema Binding

I have found a view on my SQL DB and I'm not sure what one of the lines does.

CREATE VIEW dbo.v_First_JASSDRW_record
WITH SCHEMABINDING
AS
SELECT IASSNUM, MIN(JSEQNUM) AS SEQ_NUM
FROM dbo.JASSDRW
GROUP BY IASSNUM

Could someone tell me what "with schemabinding" does.

It's an indexed view. It means that you can create indexes on the view. Instead of being basically just a saved sql statement, the data returned is actually stored behind the scenes.
