Scheduling an IP Scan

Hi All -

Looking for a way to schedule a basic ip scan (ping - document hostname and IP). I have Angry IP and Advanced IP, but can not see how I can schedule a scan job to kick off once a week. Is there a product out there that I can do this with? I thought I might be able to use windows scheduler if I could create a scan job, but not having much luck with that either. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Also, if you have a Cisco router that supports kron, you can set up a kron job, or any UNIX (maybe Linux too?) box, but it's spelled "cron" in the UNIX world.

There is also a way to do it from a DOS CLI in Windows, but I can't remember how...perhaps Google it, or find a thread that ADB answered (Cisco routers, Cisco switches), and point him to this thread---he can tell you how to do it from a Windows box.

Downloaded the app and thought it would be great, however a ton of bugs it seems. I need something stable. I have tried registering on the site to ask questions in forum, but not getting any responses from the admins. My issues are the following:

I can add the networks I want probed by ping. They are discovered, then disappear. They will add themselves to services and then disappear again. I bounced the server I have them on then lost all my networks. Very aggravating.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

What I ended up doing was using NetScan and scheduling a batch file to kick off for each subnet I needed scanned. Working very well. Very basic, but getting the job done.
