Scheduled Reports don't run in Crystal Enterprise

Our system admin did a DNS and name change on all our servers, including the server that hosts CE and all the Crystal Services and as a result, our Crystal Server was hosed for a few days until I got it back up. I've deleted all the old Crystal Services and Servers and re-created them with the new server name and re-established database connections and DCOM connections to great success, and now all my reports and Analysis cubes run as they should. The only thing that isn't working are scheduled reports. If I select a scheduled report in CMC and select 'Run', it stays in a state of 'Pending' and never concludes. Additionally, reports that are scheduled fail to run and remain in a state of 'Recurring'. There is no evidence that they've run and failed, and there are no failures in the event log.

I'd hate to have to delete and re-add the servers again. Furthermore, I'd hate to have to completely uninstall and reinstall Crystal Enterprise, especially with all the trouble I went through to rename all the servers within CE. What else can I do?

Please post your software version.

It sounds as if something still isn't right, perhaps the job server, but it's hard to guess since you've hacked the install a bit.

I don't understand what is meant by everything works except scheduled reports.

We're using CE 9, SP1. I see CE is up to SP3 now and will probably upgrade to 3 to see if it corrects the problem.

When I mean "everything works except scheduled reports" I mean that users can sign in and view reports fine; they can view cubed reports fine. The only thing that doesn't work are reports that run on a timed schedule (we have no reports that run on Events). Or if I attempt to hit the Run Now button on a scheduled report in CMC, it stays in a state of Pending and nothing happens.
 
Hi,

When you install/uninstall and re-install servers, often you have server enablement issues. Check in the Crystal Management Console under the servers section to see if your Job servers are properly registered and enabled. You can also do this using the CCM by clicking the Enable Servers icon. You may have the old servers registered and enabled. If you do, I would delete them.

It may be that the system cannot find any valid Job servers to lay the job off to. You might also want to check your name resolution. If you have erroneous entries in the HOSTS file you will experience similar problems.
