I'm familiar with using "shutdown.exe" from the resource kit for Windows NT Server to schedule routine reboots of my NT servers. But does anyone know of a 3rd party program that will allow me to do the same? I need the program to allow the reboot to happen while the server is at a "Ctrl-Alt-Del" screen...in other words it needs to schedule the reboot when no one is logged in to the server. Some programs I've tried, like 12Ghosts, run in the taskbar and don't start up until a user logs into the server.

Any ideas would be great!!!

Get the PSTOOLS kit from sysinternals.com and use the PSSHUTDOWN tool. Create a batch file with the psshutdown command using the '-r' and '-l' (and maybe '-f' and '-t 1') arguments. Schedule the file with AT, and you should be set.

That's basically the same as using the "shutdown.exe" utility in the Resource Kit that I'm currently using and trying to get away from. (Stupid I know....I'd rather use the Resource Kit utility in AT, but I can't....its a long story) I need 3rd party software that does its own scheduleing and without the need for additional batch files or command lines to be written.

Check out TechScheduler from Dean Software. Does what you are asking about and a lot more. Cheap, around $30.
