Scheduled backup fails same night every week

I am running Backup Exec 8.6. I have a scheduled job that runs Monday thru Saturday. Every Tuesday morning I check the backup and it is still trying to load media. The alerts say to mount media but the media is in the drive already. After cancelling the job it says that the mount failed. The drive has been cleaned and replaced, the cleaning tapes have been replaced, the DAT's have all been replaced. The tapes have been erased, labeled, inventoried. You name , it I have tried everything. The scheduled job is the same for every night but only Monday's fails. Any suggestion?

Hi,
Look at your Saturday job and make sure that is is not set to eject the tape when done--or something like that. Compare all the settings on Saturday to Monday.

I assume that BE does not start the job.

Exam Resource Order in text to see that server name & location is correct.

Have you checked the Windows Event Viewer Logs to see if there are any other indications of what is going wrong?

Have you checked the Backup Exec Job History for your failed job?
