Hello,

how can I make a 1st saturday full backup and incremmental the other saturdays?

I'm trying to set it but I can't get it.

Many thanks in advance,

Iago

Create a monthly schedule with only incremental backups. Switch in the Configuration menu to not enable Show schedule as calander. Open you schedule again and in the override field you put:
full first saturday every month

Turn the Show calander back if you like.

Thank you very much for this piece of information.

Really, it's awesome the way of getting such configuration.

This is what I need !! Where is this 'Configuration menu' ?

We're using 'Networker is 7.2.1 on Solaris 10' - 64_bit

thanks.

In the window Configuration, the same menu is just underneath the window's icon.

Okay call me stupid or blind... I don't see this anywhere on my nwadmin screen.

Sorry - i should have read that you do not work with NMC yet. However, you can use NMC (NW 7.3+) with your NW 7.2.x server.

Not entierly sure, it was a few months back since I used nwadmin, but I think this was never introduced in the UNIX GUI. So either you run NMC, or you run nwadmin on Windows or you use nsradmin to do what you want.

You can create this special schedule using nsradmin if you are still running with version 7.2 or earlier... you can even use nsradmin to do it at 7.3 or 7.4 too but the new GUI (NMC) makes this process easier...
Let me know if you need instructions.

nsradmin is your friend.
