Hi,

I have a work sheet with a macro in it to connect to a database, refresh the data, generate a graph from the data and save the graph as a image in the file system.

Now, i would like to automate it so that every day at a scheduled time, the excel macro is called and the image's generated and saved in the file system. This has to be done with Excel popping up and without a GUI.

Any idea how to do this?

Regards,
Vikram

Use the scheduler, and put your macro in workbook_open.

This will solve the problem, but it won't close Excel when the macro's been run. Of course you can close the workbook in hte macro, and perhaps close excel that way as well?

Thats Ok but i would like to schedule it in such a way that, Excel "Does Not" pop up while it executes. I would like to schedule it as a AutoSys job which would run even when the system is logged off.

Any Idea's?
