Greetings all, I have a windows XP machine that does nothing but runs schedualed task batch files. It simply stays logged in as the local administrator all day/night. However sometimes some of the batch files do not run by themselves, the schedual runs and the dos window pops up but the script never runs/completes...however if you manually run the schedual it works EVERYTIME! Its odd because after you run it manually, it will run automatically for 3 or 4 times...then it just stops working...the batch files are all crystal report data exports and most only take about 15-30 seconds to run. I really need these to work reliably, is there something i can do? All the schedual does is excute the batch file, should i use any arguments in the command?

thanks for any ideas

And the log file reports what issues?

Make sure some other user is not using this seemingly idle workstation to do a logon.

I would be happier if you affirmatively stated the logon username and password as part and parcel of each task definition. (Use the RunAs feature). And do not have any blank or empty passwords in your local accounts.

Try to open schedule tasks and click the tasks and re-enter the passwords again....

This happens to me everytime I change something on the tasks, ie: schedule or anything.

try if this works...
