ive gotten this before. "Terminal does not exist". Due to corruption, right?
I dont want to main init the switch as this is just one user, but an important one. There is no dial on it at all now. it was working completely fine just before this happened.
How do i "unlock" this terminal so i can start doing LD stuff to it again?
Usually i call my vendor and they do something to it, but much faster if i know how to do it and not have to rely on them.
Easy to do this?

thanks

Ok. so i got it to work again by moving it to another TN then back again. Dont know if i fat fingered it to begin with...
but still something is going screwy, when you call the 10 digit # it doesnt ring, but goes directly to VM and says "...however the person at 0 does not suscribe to VM..."
this is the prt. what is wrong? 600 is the correct mail #.

Ya, something is wrong. Some things none of us know are:

-Why you're missing the first line of the CLS
-Where did KEY 15 go
-Why is the date at the bottom of the TN missing
-Confirmation that the mailbox even exists
-Why testing with the 10-digit number was decided (What occurs when you just dial the extension)
-What displays on other sets when you call from this phone.
-If you really meant "0" does not subscribe.

And in general, what you have already tried to solve this.

This is a straight cut and paste of the PRT.
Yes mailbox exists. when you call the full 10 digit DID it gives you the "however the person at 0 does not suscribe" thing. when you call just the ext 578 from another phone, it gets into the mailbox fine.
yes, i really meant 0. it says " the person at zero does not subsribe to this zero. transfering to an attendant"
this vm system is mermail.
i have made sure that his phone isnt cfw'd anywhere else. ive printed to make sure the DN isnt used anywhere else.
ive even out'ed it, moved it around, nul the cfw key just in case, checked the fdn and hunt with other phones.

When you dial the 10 digit number does this phone ring then go to voicemail?

If it does not end up being corrupted DNs, then it sounds like a telephone company issue with the DID configuration. Since internal works, we know your system is probably fine. My guess is this persons DID is NPA-NXX-0578 (if you are in the USA). And the telco is sending you 4 digits rather than only 3...meaning they are sending the zero to you, which could be why it is going to voice mail right away.

Taking some guesses here.

GHTRout, you are right.
it ended up being an issue at the telco.
thank you

going back to SCH0128, i found this excerpt in an older post could someone explain how to do this?i frequently run into this problem and would love to be able to fix it myself without calling the vendor. specifically the part that is "hard to explain in english". thx

Now if you make a copy or move you are also copy the pointers.
Maybe the copyed or moved phones are working fine but you can get problems if you want to delete them,
or if they are deleted and you want to use the DN or the TN to create a new set.
In the software are still a few coppied pointers. The TN and DN of the deleted sets are free but you can't use the free DN and TN.
You get the SCH0128 Or if you can create a set and print the DN it shows no TN and shows NO ACT SINCE NO DATE without the SCH0881 code.

To correct the corrupted software it must be cleared in the PDT.
For TN corruption we write zeros in the PUnit_block and the Uunit_block.
For DN, GPHT, RDB, ACD corruption its to difficult for me to explain in English (I'am Dutch)

Often, a "Sysload" (backing the system up, then pressing the Rls/Reload button) will clear up that type of problem once and for all. Nortel can go into the machine level area of the software and correct this without interrupting service, as the poster you referred us to wrote. However, we as users and vendors are generally restricted from that area of the system.
