I have two MD110 with QSIG link between them.
Both MD110 have only analog trunks to public switch.

What is the proper way to do SCEXI:

1) Both MD110 should receive sync from each other?
or
2) only one MD110 should have SCEXI, other is master exchange and does not receive sync?

are they 2 stand alone lims ?

or LIM1 and LIM2 ?

cheers

lb : it's QSIG, so I suppose these are 2 separate systems.

mantra : In this case it is best to sync one system to another so case 2 is fine.

Mantra,
case 1 is deffinitely NOT recommended. Ever seen a dog trying to catch its tail? :)

you can give SCEXI only on the slave LIM not on the master

Hi people,

Thanks. Both MD are 1 LIM systems, exchange A is BC11, exchange B is BC12.
I have done SCEXI only in exchange A, and it works OK.
SCEXI:FEML=1-0-00-00; (QSIG equ, exchange A)

In the future I will have public ISDN for DID purposes in both MD110. I suppose that both MD110 should have SCEXI:
SCEXI:FEML=R; ( to remove sync in exchange A)
SCEXI:FEML=1-1-00-00; (public ISDN equ, exchange A)
SCEXI:FEML=1-1-20-00; (public ISDN equ, exchange B)

Should I than put SCEXI:SEML=1-0-00-00; for spare clock in exchange A ?
Is it mandatory to put public ISDN TLU76 in BPOS=1-0-00 ?

Hi'
Should I than put SCEXI:SEML=1-0-00-00; for spare clock in exchange A ?
-you can do it as a spare but it's not a demand.

Is it mandatory to put public ISDN TLU76 in BPOS=1-0-00 ?
- no.
