Hello,
i am getting anoid by this. We are facing approx. every 90 minutes scecli 1001 and userenv 1000 events on our windows 2000 clients. Q259398, i have already reviewed but didn't help. somebody else has got some ideas on how to fix it. I am not even sure how to troubleshoot it at all. Userenv.log holds some information but there is not description on what the entries mean.

thank you

It has to do with the DFS client. So you are saying that the registry fix given on this did not work?
Try MS article ID: Q258296 or ID: Q258960 . They have a different approch. It happens every 90 Min? On all machines? If so then the DFS Server (Usually a service running on the DC) may have a configuration problem which causes it to stop recieving referrals. Are you the Administrator? Check the DFS service and make sure it is not stopping when it goes in IDLE or anything of that nature. Heck it could be a sleep mode issue on the DC or even a NIC card.

Let me know if this helps.

No it didn't work.
Q258960 addresses the IP Issue (not the case, not the symptoms).
Q258296 addresses the File and PrinterSharing (Is enabled and the DC is not multihomed, symptoms are not the case).
I am not sure about the DFS Idea. The service is up and running, but no root is installed. Installing a root didn't help either. Checking the eventlog does not show anything on that issue
Sleep mode - cannot be the case. The server is also our Fileserver and frequently accessed. The 90 Minute interval in my opinion is due to the fact that the clients refresh their gpo every 90 minutes.
