Scanner for use by non-admin users?

We currently have a mustek scanner. It is useless. It will only work if the user has admin privalidges. This is totally unacceptable, so we are going to replace it.

Can anyone suggest a scanner (perferable HP), which will work on a Win2K machine, with power user logins??

We just had this issue a couple of months ago and we decided to buy 3 HP Scanjet 5490C. These scanners offer Letter and Legal (with Automatic Document Feeder option) scanning with 2400 X 2400 dpi resolution. These scanners work with USB and are easy to install and configure. They work with "power User" accounts and users are really happy with speed and reliability.

So the Scanjet 5490C is my suggestion.
