scaling text

I want to scale text horizontally, which i am able to do by dragging the scaling handles...but i am not able to put a number into the transform box and scale it, which is what i want to do.

Does anyone know why this is happening??

Is your text selected? That's what enables the tranform boxes, otherwise they're greyed out!

Works great for me and I tested it in all the transform boxes... horz, vert, rotate, skew

is your layer locked by any chance? Regards,

wow...my layer is not locked and the text is definitely selected. It still doesn't work.

It has worked before for me. but now it isn't working. I still don't know how to fix this.

It doesn't work on objects either..shapes etc.

Have you tried this in any other flash documents? Have you shut your pc down and restarted lately?

To be honest this does not sound good to me... I was having some similar problems a few weeks back and ended up completely wiping my HD and starting from scratch with new OS and reinstall on all my software. It works like a top now.

Not Trying to be super hypothetical and hope this is not your problem but it definitely is not performing as it should. Regards,
