I'm having a similar problem to one posted earlier where the page I print is printing smaller than the image created on screen. My document is 19.5cmx25cm but prints out smaller than this. Print setups seem correct with 100% scaling set. I also noticed that when I view it at 'actual size' on screnn, the rulers do NOT measure actual size! ( IN other words, holding a ruler to the screen a 100% is not correct. To get 'actual size' on screen, i have to view at 120%! I tried changing the scaling inthe print dialogue box to 12% but it won't let me change this figure.....

Hi Jill

again

What you describe is quite normal. Screen size of documents is arbitrary. I have held a ruler to the screen too with the same results.

And print-outs, I have found, (depending on the printer) can be as small as 95% of the specified size. If the job is going to an image setter this won't be a problem. If a correct laser print is critical you will have to do some maths and adjust your percentage output in Page Set-up.

There is a known issue while printing documents from QuarkXPress 4.1 to some HP DeskJet 800 and 900 series printers.

I suggest that you visit the following link on our website for more information on "QuarkXPress 4.x scales output 5% to HP DeskJet 900 or 1200 series Design Jet":

As a workaround, I suggest that in the driver's page setup dialog, enter a scale amount of 105%.
