Hello,

I have set up a new user in SBT PRO 5.0 but I dont know how to set user permissions,

is there a manual or how to guide for this issue?

Permissions are granted under the System Manager module.
Once you get in SBT:
1) Open the System Manager application
2) Select Maintain
3) Select Users
4) Enter the new user ID you created
5) Select privileges
6) Start entering access one by one.
If you do not know the process ID you should grant, my suggestion is to print out the complete list to be familiarized with.
do it from the report menu.

Hope this helps.

Thank you for the reply.

How and Where can I print off the complete list?

Once you are in SM: Select Print - Dictionary - Processes
You can even print out individual lists per module.

When you make the new privilege, copy from an old user, one who has similar duties to the new user. When you save the new user, you can copy privileges from the old user to the new.

The Copy button works in the same way. Bring up your new user. Use the pulldown to get to the "Privilege" sub-window. Click the "Copy" button. Choose a user to copy from, a company to copy from and a company to copy to. Copy privileges module by module.

The other way is to use the "List" button. Bring up the new user in SM -> Maintain -> Users and click the pulldown to get to the "Privilges" window. Click the "List" button. Select your company ID and then click Ok. Up comes a big list of all privileges. The third column on the list is "Selected". Toggle between No and Yes by tapping the space bar or right-mouse clicking.

After making your selections, tap the Enter key and then click "Update".
