i'm a new user in SBT, can i just ask what's the use of Qtmaloc in Iciqty table?

Hello Sir,
I'm still using the old sbt, 5.0. I was just wondering, why it has a value even after the transaction is made.

i mean, this should return to Zero after every transaction, why it has more than 1 quantity?

Qtmaloc is a temporary field used to hold temporary transactions based on the stock units. It has no use for report purposes. Not completed transactions, lock ups or SBT programming ( forgot to clear it) may leave data. It should be cleared after a transaction.

so, should i change it back to zero? manually?

i really appreciate it

thanks

how about making a program that validates it? if is has more than 1 quantity, it changes back to zero?

It is a temporary file that shows sales order allocations of items while a sales order is being written but before it is saved. As someone wrote above, it should be zero most of the time. If no one is writing a sales order and it is non-zero, this is wrong. It usually indicates a crash by someone while writing a sales order or a poorly-written modification.

The Recalc Application Balances program in System Manager knocks this number down when it is erroneously non-zero. But you have to kick everyone out of SBT to run this utility program. Best to fix once and trace the problem to its source.
