Can someone confirm whether existing issues on a SBS2003 will be passed on if I used the SBSMigration tools?
We have a old server that has some definite hardware issues and along with that we seem to be having what I think to be either a DC or DNS issue as we cannot browse the network at all. Drives can be mapped but not browsed from Clients or server.

We would like to move to a new server box and it's clear the SBSMigration is the best process to do so but I don't want to simply pass on the existing problems.

Thanks

If there are DNS issues then yeah this may impact on the migration and possibly make it fail. However make sure you use NT backup and take a system state backup. if all goes wrong, then you can just restore that.

Good luck on this and read the migration guide a couple of times in advance
