SBS 2003 Server Reports in MIME not HTML

Suddenly this week the daily server reports emailed to me are in MIME and not HTML format. If you log onto the the server and view the report it is fine.
I reset the email settings and that produced no change.
Server is running AVG server edition.
I can't find any information in Microsoft so I'm hoping someone here has seen the same activity.

I think this might actually be because of the SMTP server you are using to send out on. Do you have access to another one you could try? Or speak to your SMTP provider?

Through some trial, and lots of error, I found that it was AVG AV causing the issue. There is a little know AVG knowledgebase article on files in SBS Excahnge Server that should be excluded from monitoring and virus scanning.

Once that was set, the performance report was reset and the server restarted and the email worked as before.
