After converting a Visio 6.0 file to html, which of the many created files is recommended for editing (resizing) and subsequent linking to from a web page?

I am work with visio 2000 and most of the drawing i've made are of very large buildings. In exporting into HTML I have used the option VML(vector markup language) which save files not as graphics but as a collection of points and connectors. This allows for the user to ZOOM in and to not lose any clarity. As far as linking from a web page and to a web page. I have mine set up in it's own frame and a navagation frame to the left. An easier way to solve this could be to just have Hyperlinks built into the drawing you're making. Back buttons, menu buttons etc. their hyperlinks would be accesible when it's converted into HTML.
