Hello,

our customers wanna have an excel report with specified measures that will be saved on a network drive because he wanna do customer specific calculations.

Is it possible to transfer the reports from Cognos Environment to a specified Network Drive?

If yes, what I have to do?

Thank you very much.

Assuming you're in a PC environment, if on your cognos PC/server, you map the network drive (in Network Places, navigate to the folder/drive you want, right click and choose Map..), then you can refer to that place in an impromptu macro as destination for a ExportExcel with Format command.

Hi,

we do not use Impromptu, we use ReportNet. Can you specify your comment (Macro, Export Excel etc.)?

Thank you.

Apologies; I don't use ReportNet, but would expect the principles of drive mapping to be applicable. You might be obliged to use the full network path if not (\\servername\drive\folder\subfolder)

Ok you have to register LFA.dll to store reports locally and then once have registered this dll you should map you network drive as suggsested by drlex

thanks
