Saving Excel Formula

If I have a formula I use quite often (or more than one) is there a way to save that particular formula so I don't have to type it in everytime? eg:

=if(A1=A2,"oops","")

Do you mean a way to avoid having to type it into each row?

I think you mean you have a similar spreadsheet every day and you want to be able to populate the same column with the same formula every day. If that's the case, you'll want to use a macro. You could have the macro assigned to a button on a custom toolbar.

I really don't see the point in saving such a short formula but if you want to make it shorter, this will provide the same logical answer

=A1=A2

The problem with saving and copying the formula, your cell references will probably be changing anyway and you will have to edit it each time. If that doesn't bother you, then save it to note pad and ctrl-c/v it as needed.

I thought that was just an example. If the formula is that short, I definitely wouldn't bother using a macro.
