Saving Database

We have here SQL BASE 8.1.x installed and have to save the database every night. What is the best way to do? Buying ArcSoft or Veritas, with or without the 'OpenFileOption' or is there a smarter way to save the DB's automatically?

Yes, simply do an on-line backup. Copy the files in the backup directory (.dbs and .log(s)) to a safe place.
