Saving a Selection

I would like to know how to save a selection in Photoshop CS to import into Premiere Pro with a transparent background.
When I create the selection in Photoshop then import into Premiere it comes in as a White Matte, with a white background.
Any help welcome.

Hi, I've never used Premiere Pro, but when exporting images without a background to Quark this is what I do:
Select the image you want to be on transparent background (make sure that the layer you are working with is not Background)
Go to - Help - Export Transparent Image
Then, just follow instructions, make sure you choose: Image is on Transparent background.
