Saving a Group's columns in Contacts, Notes etc

I've created a Group and have the default tabs. Each tab allows you to "customize" the columns. Every time I close ACT! it comes up to the default columns and wipes out my layout. How does one save that layout of columns?

I'm speaking specifically about the "Contacts" tab. I haven't needed to use the other tabs so don't know if the columns disappear there also.
