I'm building an advertising booklet that will be printed on a commercial printer's web press. I'm using Photoshop to convert images/logos etc. to cmyk and when I go to save should I click on the box ICC Profile: It's set to U.S. Web Coated (swop)v2

When I preflight the layout in InDesign I notice the images I didn't select the box say "None" for ICC Profile and the ones I did say "Embedded"

Anyone with web press experience - what's the best way to go?

Thanks!

Swop2 will work just fine.

Unless you have specific profile from a printer - a very, very rare thing - sticking with Adobe's "US Prepress Defaults", whcih will include swop2, is easiest.

I use this virutally all the time and have had no problems, ever.

don't use any color profiles or icc tags. Pre-press will use their own. If you have icc tags, their pre-flight will come up with an error message. Pitstop has an action to remove icc tags and color profiles.
