Save hangs on storage node

Hi there

I have run into a very confusing problem

Server is nt4 SP6a with Networker 6.2
Storage Node nt4 sp6a with networker 6.2

It started a while ago when the networker software was 6.1.1

Everytime I stated a save group on the storage node, the save would hang
and do nothing. In the monitor there would be 2 save streams and the drive
reports writing at 64 KB, and thats it.

I then upgraded the server and storage node to version 6.2 same results.

If I do a manual save in a command window on the storage node, the backup
would run fine.

I the tried to run the backup with savepnp and found this message in the
savegroup log

d:\data 1 retry attempted
jun 26 23:14:52 ldap2.steria.dk: * dk-notes:d:\data preclntsave: The tmp
file exists. Another savepnpc may be running.
jun 26 23:14:52 ldap2.steria.dk: * dk-notes:d:\data Preclntsave
exiting......!

I stopped the service on the storage node, and deleted the tmp folder, and
restarted the service, to no avail.

Also if I kill the nsrmmd proccess and wait for the server to restart the
nsrmmd procces the save starts but only for the clients connected to the
storage node, not the stoarge node itself.

Can anyone give me a clue to what is going on here, and how I can fix it ?

Shut down Networker on the storage node, go into the nsr/tmp directory, and delete any .lck files you may find.
