Save As window in MS Word

While trying to create a document in MS Word 2000 the 'Save As' request window pops up and won't go away. Even if I do manage to get rid of it, as soon as I try to progress with my document it pops back up again.

Are you by any chance typing anything that has the letters FA in it repeatedly? If so, and you have a somewhat sticky or sensitive Alt key, you could be telling it to keep coming back. (Alt-F, A will do the Save-As)

If you give the document a name and save it does the box keep popping up? Word does have an auto save option that will let you specify how often to save. Of course, it needs a name to save the document as.

For the moment my 'Save As' problem is fixed. I had a glitch with my Internet provider and that caused a pc crash. After repairing and rebooting, the Word problem seems fixed.
