Save as defaulting to date order

This affects one of my Win98 computers. Rest are OK.

The Save As dialog and Open insists on displaying files and folders in date order and not name order. If I right click, I can arrange icons to by Name, but the next save as and it is back to date.

very annoying this, and I can't fix it. Can anyone help? Peter Meachem

First, try the arrange icons by name and then getting out of the window. Then go back in it and click on view and details, then try arange icons again. Hope this helps!!:
