SAV8.1 Unable to download Vir Def for Internal Server

I have set up a shared folder where where I download all my upgrades using Live Update Administrator. When a client gos to log onto that server using Live Update to receive new Virus Def. It gives this message

Initializing...
Connecting to "My Server Name"...
Downloading catalog file, not available.
Unable to connect to host
LiveUpdate could not retrieve the catalog file of available Symantec product and component updates. Please verify that you are able to connect to the Internet and run LiveUpdate again.
LiveUpdate session is complete.

What am I doing wrong?

You have to have DNS setup on the SAV 8.1 server in order for LiveUpdate to go to your internal server. Otherwise, LiveUpdate tries to go to the internet. You can also try creating a host file using the Luadmin.exe tool which then needs to be copied to the client computers to this path:

<drive>:\Program Files\LiveUpdate
