SAV Small Business Edition to Corporate

Hi, We currently have SBE installed on our servers and we plan on installting SAV corporate edition V8.0. Will I run into any problems? Will clients copy over to the new CE Server? Anyone try this upgrade before?

It is not a good idea to install a non-licensed version of the product over a licensed version. I would suggest removing the SAV server that is installed and installing the new SAV server clean if it is a non-licensed version.

Consider this, the clients are looking for the IP address and name of the SAV server. Therefore, when you remove and reinstall the SAV server the clients should hook back up to the server automatically after about 1 hour or so. That is, only if the SAV server name and IP address remain the same.

If for some reason the clients do not hook back up (Change of IP address or bad name resolution) it is very easy to force this to happen. Use the following document:
