I work for a company where the majority of people work an 8 - 5 sort of shift.

I run a SAV server and have it set up so that most people's scan runs around 4:00pm. People are saying to me that this slows there PC down a lot during the day, prompting management to want the scan times changed. They would like it so the time of the scan is changed to some time at night. If I do this, I'm trusting that people are going to go home, and leave their laptops on so they can be scanned. This doesn't seem like a good idea to me. Well, if the scan is missed (because the person didn't leave his/her laptop on at night), will it scan the PC next time the PC is turned on? If no, then is there a way to set this up?

Are there some best practices for suggested scan times in a business environment?

At our office (and in the office of our customer) we scan once a week at lunch time.
Almost 80% will leave there desk at this time and will almost not notice the scan.

Is there a way to set it from the System Center Console so that it will scan the computer if it missed.

Example - My scheduled scan is set to run at 12:00am, but let's say that at 12:00am, my PC is turned off, thus missing the scan. The next time I turn on my PC it will not scan the computer to compensate for that missed scan. Is there a way to set it up so that it will scan the computer right away if it misses a scheduled scan?

We have our scans run at 2am 1x/week. If you want to motivate users to leave their PCs on at night so the scans run, set the advanced option for the missed event to 1 day or greater. That way, if the scan misses it will try to run the next time the client checks in with the server. This is assuming you have created a scheduled scan.

I missed your last thread. When you edit your scheduled scan, click on the ADVANCED button right off the main scheduled scan edit dialog.
