Everytime i launch an application this sapisvr.exe come up in my task manager. Not only is it hogging up all my memory but it is a using up my cpu resources. Any ideas? I found the application and I want to delete it but am afraid what it might do the system. XP has been running fine lately but all of a suddent this services decides to kick in. HELP!

It is Microsoft Speech. If it is running as a service,
you can try to disable it from Control Panel , Administrative Tools , Services.

thanks for the information but i could not find the services under the administrative feature. I however did find the service located on the hard drive. I was thinking of deleting the actuall files but I dont want to screw things up. Anyone know how to uninstall or stop the SPEECH services within Windows XP?

In Administrative Tools, I have a shortcut named
Services Shortcut pointing to
%SystemRoot%\system32\services.msc /s
Try to copy that line to the run box and start the program.
