What version of Sapgui?

One Major thing we ran into is adding a system environment variable as follows:

QOSDISABLE=1

Made me worry at first, assuming QOS stands for Quality of Service, but it's been working great for over a year.

Also, make sure your saplogon is configured for low-bandwidth, and that if you're using a recent version of Sapgui that you force the colors to be disabled. That's smart for the frontend even off Citrix - it runs dog slow with colors. We actually made a vb script to force the user's registry entry to turn colors off, since they would always try to turn them on.

And good luck with local printing. We had a good headache on that one, and eventually just came up with a workaround that I can't remember off the top of my head. If you have problems, just post.

SAP is a close partner of Citrix in terms of support for their application as thin technology is part of their architecture..check the SAP web site for the juice....and get the latest client version...

Hi TheOtherKiwi,

I can't find a new client on the Sapwebsite Robin Plomp

Is a dream a lie if it don't come true
Or is it something worse

jehova,

could you please tell me more about the workaround for local printing? It would be very helpful!

Thank you in advance.

Wolfgang

Wolfgang,
In order for local printing to work in Metaframe Enviroment for SAP you must at the following system variable to the system with SAP loaded locally.

Variable Name = LP_cmd
Variable Value = C:\SAPpc\SAPgui\saplpd\saplpd.exe -d9 -f&F -c&C -x -P&P

The "-x" tells the SAP program that its to work in Terminal Mode, therefore allowing SAP Local Printing Via Citrix session.
