Hi all. I have a new Solaris 10 box (M4000) that I want to hook up to my SAN (6320).
My questions are:

Do I need to install SAN Foundation software or is that included in Solaris 10 ?
Do I need to install Sun Storedge 6000 Host Software on the server?

Any help/tips would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

SAN foundation kit doesn't exist for Solaris 10, the patches and packages are part of the base OS and the recommended patch set. So load the entire distribution OS and put the latest recommended patches on and you are good to go.

You will need software to configure the 6000 array ie set up the luns and raid levwels you wish, so yes you will need that as well.
