SAN configuration

I have a IBM pseries 650 server and liked to connect FAStT 700 DS4400 Storage controller via 2005 H08 SAN switch. I am able connect directly to the DS4400 storage controller from p650 server . Its detected by the server after running cfgmgr as dac0 and dar0 . But its unable to find device by the server if I connect the controller via SAN switch i.e IBM 2005 H08.

Is anybody there to help me ? I will be thankfull to him.

Has zoning been setup on your SAN switch?

I have single switch to connect through. Is zoning really required as I have no fabric ? How do I do zoning?

The switch itself is a fabric?

Something tells me that there is a Zoneset active or Default Zoning is turned off.

hello,

You must declare the WWN of the Fiber Channel Card installed of our P650 in your FastT700 in using the Configuration Tools of your FastT.

The WWN is reading with the ccommand AIX from your P650
lsattr -El fcs0 or fcs1 if securing architecture
