Hello,

I want to learn how to open a word document using a template within access, where data from access is passed to the word template when a command button on a form is clicked? Does anyone know where i could get a sample mdb file where i could play around with the code. This is the first time i'm working with word integration into access. This would be a great Help.!

To output a report or form into Word, take a look into the OutputTo command by creating a Macro. You will have such options as having Word autostart, and the report can be saved in formats such as .rtf, etc.

OK i want to setup a access database with various tables, and from that database i want to create various forms using data from that database. So i need to know how i could generate word file from within access passing variables through? Can anyone help me out, with a good reference out there? sample files? etc?

Check out this FAQ by Telsa - FAQ703-760. I was looking for the exact thing for a project, where the data is entered into an Access dbase and then passed through to a word template.

It works like a charm and I think it's exactly what you are looking for.

Read the FAQ and if you have any questions, let me know. I've used this extensively over the past few months, and in pretty much every access dbase i create now.
