Sametime Admin Questions...

Does anyone here administer sametime? I am a Notes Admin and Sametime is being implemented from somewhere else in our organization. My question is, do the admins have the ability to monitor chat dialog? What type of Admin privledges do they have?

Hi.

I understand that all chats in Sametime can be logged - it's an option on the sametime server software.

But you should inform your users before logging their chats.

Thanks man... yeah I guess I will have to watch what we say in the chat rooms then. I guess that lock icon for security just meant for NON-admins. Admins always get to look at the good stuff... just hope they don't enforce some kind of content control in the chat messages.
