I have a massive report that I'm creating. In the header I have a subreport that is showing organizationally funded projects and then in the detail I have another set of data and in the footer I have the same subreport as in the header, but only showing departmentally funded projects.

Is there a way to pass filter criteria on the fly between a subreport? Please help!

what about having the filter done on a user form, asking what they want? Otherwise, I would put each filter at each subform's control source level.

I want to re-use the same subreport with different criteria on the same parent report.

can you please help me with the following?
the name of all reports being use, and what fields will be filtered on each, and what the criteria for each filter is?

It is hard to understand without specifics.

Thank you.

The normal method of filtering records in a subreport based on some value in the main report is to use the Link Master/Child properties.

Jarvo807,

I also ran into this problem, with having several different sub-reports tied to the main report, which is filtered based parameters from a form. Using the Master/Child relationship can work, but if you're trying to pass a filter to the sub-reports, I had to open the sub-report up in design, pass the filter, then close the sub-reports. It works fairly quickly and you hardly notice the reports opening and closing.
