Is there a program or setting that will display the same thing on both monitors at the same time?

Not sure of the long, detailed way to do this, but my laptop allows me to plug in the extra monitor and hit Func F3 (LCD/CRT). You may have a similar button on your machine. This will toggle between the three different modes.

Thanks for the responce. Its a desktop computer. I want one monitor faceing me and one facing away so others can see what I'm doing on the pc.

OK, here's the long way. I have never tested this, so you may have to play with it a bit. In the control panel, dclick on display, when the properties come up, click on settings, then advanced, and there should be something called TwinView. This should allow you to run both monitors from one machine.

Both monitors currently work but don't display the same thing. The second one is an extention of the first, not a duplicate.

Did you select clone (it will be on standard)? This should allow you to see the same output on each device.

Hmmm. I don't see that setting..Running version 2002. Maybe time for a patch.. Thanks for the help!

Installed sp1 to my windows xp Pro. Still no clone setting.
Anyone help?

What Graphis card do you have?

Matrox makes a dual video card with those setting ready for use, you can select same as 1 or extension of one in any direction.

Hope this helps

Nick

It all depends on the type of video card(s) you are using windows is very picky.

IE : you cannot use two video card with SIS chipsets they both work alone but not together.

My advice is to get a MAtrox they are only around $100 for the 16mb version unless you want 3D at that point they go up.

You can get a splitter cable to run 2 monitors from the same card but the result is 50% contrast which might not be good unless you have plenty of range in you monitor adjustments
Also you can buy external powered splitters
