I am having this problem and it shows up in log.smbd, can anyone tell
me what it is and how I would fix it? It occurs every time I try to
access a volume and I can't use any of the shares contained within. I
just compiled a 2.2.8a and didn't change any of my smb.conf setting.
Here is the error message as it appears in log.smbd:
[2003/04/14 13:51:37, 0] lib/util_sec.c:assert_gid(111)
Failed to set gid privileges to (0,99) now set to (99,99) uid=(0,0)
[2003/04/14 13:51:37, 0] lib/util.c:smb_panic(1094)
PANIC: failed to set gid
