Hi All !

We have just installed a new Linux server using Fedora Core 2.After configuring Samba Server, nothing is appearing if we type smb: in the Nautilus file manager.

If I use the command: smbclient -L localhost, after feeding the password I am getting the error:

session setup failed:NT_STATUS_LOGON_FAILURE

although the username/password combination is perfectly okay.

Can some one help in resolving this problem ?

Thanks

Have you tweaked your smb.conf file, to reflect the windows server name/domain/password etc?

There is no windows server. The information about linux server is there in smb.conf file.

Make sure your shares are browsable. SWAT is your friend, use it.

Also, there is a samba forum that you may find more expertise on.
