I have an AIX machine with samba 2.2.2. The machine I am on is a Windows XP Pro SP1. I can access samba if I go to it via the IP address (\\192.168.2.78). However if I do a (\\tstest) which is the AIX machine name it comes back to me with an error:
\\Tstest is not accessable. You might not have permissions to use this network resource. Contact the administrator of this server to find out if you have acess permissions.
The account is not authorized to log in from this station.
Now, this only happens if I attempt to access it via the netbios name. any one have any thoughts? James Collins
